Vimy Ridge Presentation by Paul Randall

  • Summerland Museum & Archives 9521 Wharton Street Summerland, BC, V0H 1Z0 Canada (map)

Commemorate the anniversary of the battle of Vimy Ridge (April 9-12, 1917) by coming to this exciting presentation. Paul Randall will explore the origin and events around this momentous battle and its local connection, as well as dispel myths of Vimy Ridge and look at the symbolism behind the Vimy Ridge Memorial. Plus, he will talk about the upcoming exhibit called Summerland Remembers the Defenders of the Empire. This is the first of a series of lectures on World War One.

The presentation will be from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Summerland Museum. Admission is by donation. For more information, email Claire Macdonald at info@summerlandmuseum.org or call 250.494.9395.

We would like to thank the BC Rural Dividend Fund for a grant that has enabled us to provide this event.
