Did you know that the average consumer throws away approximately 37 kilograms of textiles every year? Help us divert landfill waste and learn an empowering craft skill at the same time!

Using old and worn-out clothing we will crochet colourful upcycled rag rugs. The workshop will be introduced with a rag rug from the Summerland Museum’s collection and we will delve into the increasing importance of recycling textile materials. Participants will leave the workshop with a better appreciation for sustainable crafting practices and the skills to make their own crocheted rag rugs, pot holders, and more!

This ONLINE workshop is by donation. Please email info@summerlandmuseum.org to register.
