Join us on the front lawn of the Summerland Museum to hear personal stories shared by people in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community living in Summerland.
In partnership with the Summerland Museum for this event to raise awareness that the museum archives lack 2SLGBTQIA+ representation because of historical discrimination and societal views that made it unsafe for people to be out.
2SLGBTQIA+ people have always been here, with particular acknowledgment that Two Spirit Syilx Okanagan people have lived on these lands for thousands of years before colonization.
This event is free!
Refreshments are generously provided by SOS Pride (donations appreciated).
Feel free to bring a blanket or chair to the event.
