Enjoy a casual Saturday morning guided bike tour to discover some of Summerland's history in the Trout Creek neighbourhood. Pedal beside orchards on paved or gravel roads with stops along the way to get a peek at a 110-year-old former schoolhouse, a 130-year-old barn and of course the creek itself. Find out about Duncan Woods, a colourful character with lofty real estate dreams for the neighbourhood. Get a bird's-eye view of the delta as you look out on landmarks. The tour concludes with a few stops on Johnson Street that include Trout Creek's third schoolhouse and the Hindu Temple.
Guided by local historian and author Mary Trainer in collaboration with the Okanagan Historical Society.
